Located in Columbus, Ohio, Ricart Automotive was founded in 1953 by Paul Ricart, Sr.

Fred Ricart and his brother Rhett Ricart took over the Ricart dealership in 1982. Since then, the Ricarts have acquired nine dealerships in the Columbus area. Ricart is recognized as the largest dealer in the world for all makes and manufacturers in new and used car retail sales. Fred and Rhett have been perfecting the Ricart Automotive service philosophy since they took responsibility for the dealership in the 1980s. With years of dedication, their own brand of "homegrown advertising" and one-on-one discussions with their customers, this dynamic duo has grown Ricart Automotive into the ultimate automotive retailer.

In 1998 alone, Ricart Automotive recorded sales of nearly $600 million from more than 33,000 vehicles sold. The many dealerships making up Ricart Automotive are continually showered with industry awards including Ricart Ford having been named the #1 Ford Dealer for the past decade! In June of 1999, out of 20,000 dealers across the country, Ricart Automotive was named the #1 Dealer in America by Ward's Dealer Business.
